The Role

We are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer - Oracle EPM Planning to play a pivotal role in driving the success of Block's financial planning and analysis initiatives. You will bring deep technical and functional expertise in development and sustenance of EPBCS, EPCMCS and reporting services. In this role, you get to be both a thinker and a doer. That is, you will bring leading technology practices to the business; explore best-fit architectures; define implementation strategy, scope and deliver solutions. You will also liaison with integrations and data engineers to land a holistic solution that will be a combination of systems, integrations and data.  Collaboration with stakeholders to improve processes and optimize business operations using the EPM suite of solutions is also a key responsibility.

You Will

  • Architect and design robust solutions, keeping user experience and scalability in mind.
  • Develop a roadmap to optimize existing systems architecture and propose leading practices to deliver business value. 
  • Gather and translate business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Lead the implementation of EPM Planning modules, including Operating Expense, Gross Margin, Headcount, and Compensation planning.
  • Develop and maintain EPBCS Business Rules, Forms, and BSO cubes.
  • Configure and support integrations between EPM and other systems using EPM Agent, Data Management, Python, Groovy, and SQL.
  • Develop and maintain data models to support EPM planning and reporting.
  • Guide users on data reporting processes and leverage Oracle AI capabilities (IPM) for predictive planning.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and implement process improvements using EPM solutions.
  • Train users on existing system processes and best practices.
  • Provide day-to-day production support, technical documentation, and operational procedures.
  • Stay updated on emerging EPM technologies and trends.

 

You Have

  • 7+ years of experience with Oracle EPM Planning modules.
  • Strong technical skills in EPM architecture, design, and implementation.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with users and understand their business requirements.
  • Experience in data modeling, reporting, and process improvement.
  • Knowledge of EPM concepts, accounting principles, and financial planning
  • Experience with FCCS and EDM.
  • Knowledge of Python, Groovy, and SQL.
  • Experience with Oracle AI capabilities (IPM)

The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.
