This week, we released our 2025 Business Sustainability Report, outlining how we continue to measure and manage our impact across our operations, products, and partnerships.
We see this work as core to how we deliver on Block’s purpose of economic empowerment. Building a more effective and resilient business means understanding our footprint and making thoughtful choices about how we design products and work with partners.
In 2025, Block’s total carbon emissions were 593,915 metric tonnes of CO₂e, with the vast majority coming from our broader value chain including the products and services we purchase from suppliers and vendors. We continue to track that footprint closely while investing in carbon removal, renewable energy, and more sustainable approaches across areas like hardware, packaging, and shipping.
Partnerships are also an important part of how we put these commitments into practice. We work with industry and nonprofit organizations to support projects that can have impact beyond our own operations. Through our partnership with Oceanworks, for example, we helped reclaim 2 million pounds of at-risk plastic waste from waterways and coastal areas in 2025, bringing the total recovered since the partnership began to 6.3 million pounds.
