Bitcoin’s potential value as an investment asset often dominates narratives surrounding the currency. But does this outsized focus align with how people around the world really understand and use the decentralized currency? In 2022, Block partnered with Wakefield Research to find answers, conducting a bitcoin-focused survey of 9,500 people in 14 countries, across the Americas, EMEA, and APAC.
The results reveal new insights on bitcoin’s popularity as a form of payment, and show that many more women use the currency than is commonly believed.
