Since we opened our doors in 2009, the world of commerce has evolved immensely, and so has Square. After enabling anyone to take payments and never miss a sale, we saw sellers stymied by disparate, outmoded products and tools that wouldn't work together.

So we expanded into software and started building integrated, omnichannel solutions – to help sellers sell online, manage inventory, offer buy now, pay later functionality, book appointments, engage loyal buyers, and hire and pay staff. Across it all, we've embedded financial services tools at the point of sale, so merchants can access a business loan and manage their cash flow in one place. Afterpay furthers our goal to provide omnichannel tools that unlock meaningful value and growth, enabling sellers to capture the next generation shopper, increase order sizes, and compete at a larger scale.

Today, we are a partner to sellers of all sizes – large, enterprise-scale businesses with complex operations, sellers just starting, as well as merchants who began selling with Square and have grown larger over time. As our sellers grow, so do our solutions. There is a massive opportunity in front of us. We're building a significant, meaningful, and lasting business, and we are helping sellers worldwide do the same.

The Role

We're looking for a dynamic Sales Event Manager who can help sales to make meaningful connections during priority events and bring our B2B marketing programs to life through compelling experiences that drive new business acquisition and strengthen relationships with existing merchants.

You will build a comprehensive events program by working with events and sales stakeholders to deliver impactful tradeshows, corporate events, and executive engagement programs. You'll oversee high-touch entertainment initiatives and strategic incentive programs designed to increase business growth.

You will bring both creative vision and operational excellence to support our sales organization's growth objectives through thoughtfully curated experiences that resonate with business decision-makers.

You Will

  • Build an annual events program in partnership with key stakeholders, ensuring alignment with sales goals and merchant acquisition goals
  • Drive end-to-end execution of industry events, executive engagement programs, and corporate experiences that create meaningful business connections
  • Manage internal incentive programs, including sales recognition initiatives and performance-based experiences
  • Demonstrate exceptional operational excellence in managing complex, multi-faceted programs from conception to completion
  • Manage full program P&L responsibility, including vendor/agency management, contract negotiations, and budget optimization
  • Implement and maintain event frameworks and playbooks that ensure consistent, high-quality delivery while allowing for creative customization
  • Track program effectiveness, gather insights, and provide detailed reporting to support continuous improvement

You Have

  • Minimum 5 years of experience executing B2B events and programs in Fintech, SAAS, or related industries
  • Experience leading cross-functional stakeholders and driving successful results
  • Experience with large corporate events, experiences and travel coordination a plus
  • Highly organized, expert prioritizer with a passion for creating exceptional, memorable experiences
