The Financial Platform team at Block is dedicated to building and maintaining the core financial platform that power the company's products. This team is responsible for ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of the financial infrastructure. The mission of the Financial Platform team is to create a robust and innovative financial platform that supports the diverse needs of our stakeholders within Block. Team members work on a variety of projects, including payment credential issuance, payment processing systems, financial reporting tools, money movement, and compliance frameworks. They collaborate closely with other engineering teams, product managers, legal partners, business partners, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality financial services.
We are seeking a deeply technical and highly-skilled Product Manager to join our team and drive the Financial Platform’s Technical Product Management Strategy within non-card money flows which covers direct deposit, wire transfers, check deposit, bill pay, bringing a robust understanding of the intersection between platform capabilities and banking product services. This role presents a unique opportunity to influence and drive the platform strategy, at a time where Cash is growing its user base across these areas.
Within the Financial Platform bank rails domain, the team ensures the financial infrastructure that supports the banking products runs reliably, flexibly, and can scale quickly. Additionally, the team supports Square across our checks and bill pay services. As a Product Manager for Cash App’s Financial Platform, you will be responsible for developing the core capabilities that help Financial Platform customers ship remarkable banking products. You will develop strong comprehension of NACHA rules, and understanding of the complexities of those requirements in order to effectively balance with partner asks. Furthermore, there are ongoing financial innovations and new regulatory asks that continue to create opportunities for Cash, by ensuring we understand the right moments to lead or follow industry best practices. This will be an important area to build a strategy for our platform and set the vision for the next 3-5 years.
You will also be responsible for driving the enhancement of Financial Platform’s Bank Rails infrastructure to integrate seamlessly and efficiently with new partners across all key areas of our banking stack, e.g. Sponsor Banks and 3rd party vendors, managing upstream and downstream impacts, as well as creating partner-agnostic APIs that still feel bespoke to individual use cases.
You will drive platform initiatives from inception through execution. You’ll identify opportunities to consolidate and improve capabilities and drive adoption to help all our customers and teams go faster. You’ll look ahead of our current state to anticipate the future needs of Cash App’s Banking business, and build to get us there. In this role you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Financial Operations & Partnerships, Product Data Science, and upstream Consumer-facing Product teams to define product requirements, prioritize features, and ensure successful delivery.

Block takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. U.S locations are categorized into one of four zones based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.
