The Role

As an Account Executive on the Afterpay & Cash App Commerce team, you’ll play a critical role in expanding our merchant network. Your mission is to bring Afterpay’s flexible payment solutions to high-growth SMB and mid-market brands, drive sales, and build strategic partnerships that accelerate Cash App’s impact in the commerce space.

You Will

  • Be a Trusted Payments Partner – Educate retailers on how Afterpay + Cash App can drive customer acquisition, increase order value, and enhance shopper loyalty.
  • Drive Sales & Close Deals – Identify, negotiate, and secure new merchant partnerships, working with speed and strategy to expand our reach.
  • Manage a High-Value Pipeline – Utilize CRM tools to track, forecast, and optimize sales efforts, ensuring a steady stream of revenue-driving opportunities.
  • Lead Strategic Negotiations – Structure merchant partnerships that maximize growth for both businesses and align with our long-term vision.
  • Sell with Impact – Craft compelling, data-driven sales narratives that influence business owners and senior executives to adopt Afterpay & Cash App Commerce solutions.
  • Expand Cash App’s Merchant Network – Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers at top brands to make Afterpay the BNPL leader in their payments strategy.

You Have

  • 3+ years of full-cycle sales experience, with a strong track record of exceeding revenue targets.
  • A fast-moving, high-energy sales approach—you thrive in a dynamic, high-growth environment.
  • Strong negotiation and objection-handling skills, with the ability to build persuasive business cases.
  • A deep passion for fintech and commerce, understanding how BNPL and integrated payments are shaping the future of retail.

The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.
