Last month, Block joined industry leaders and experts at TrustCon 2025, the premier global conference dedicated to online safety and trust. The event brought together professionals from technology companies, financial institutions, and child safety organizations to share insights and strengthen collaborative efforts in keeping online platforms and communities safe.

Highlighting Block's commitment to combating online child sexual exploitation and abuse (OCSEA), our Special Investigations Unit Team Lead Tony Vallario presented alongside Kay Chau, Tech Coalition's VP of Programs and Member Success. Their session, "Beyond the Signal: How Financial Intelligence In Lantern Can Strengthen OCSEA Investigations," showcased how financial institutions can contribute to detecting and preventing online exploitation through cross-industry collaboration.

The presentation focused on Lantern, the Tech Coalition's cross-industry signal-sharing platform, which enables a more comprehensive investigative approach by leveraging diverse signals to uncover harm. Block shared insights from Lantern's financial institution pilot, demonstrating how financial signals—such as transaction patterns and account behaviors—can enhance the identification and investigation of OCSEA cases.

As a member of the Tech Coalition, Block participated in TC Connect, an invite-only track that deepened our engagement with fellow industry leaders committed to online safety. These collaborative sessions reinforced the importance of cross-sector partnerships in developing more effective solutions to combat online exploitation.

Block's participation in TrustCon 2025 reflects our ongoing commitment to trust and safety across our ecosystem. By combining financial intelligence with technological innovation and industry collaboration, we continue to strengthen our ability to protect our platforms and communities while contributing to broader efforts in combating online exploitation.

Looking ahead, we remain committed to expanding our partnerships and leveraging our unique position at the intersection of financial services and technology to advance online safety initiatives. Through platforms like Lantern and collaboration with organizations across the tech and financial sectors, we're working to create a safer digital environment for all users.
