Creative spaces can play a critical role in how teens build confidence, develop skills, and see new possibilities for their future.
Block is initiating a new partnership with The Bronx Museum of the Arts to support programs that connect young people to hands-on learning, creative development, and real-world experience. At the museum, these programs are designed to give high school students meaningful exposure to the arts through internships, leadership opportunities, and collaborative projects. Teens work alongside curators, artists and peers to explore creative expression while contributing to programming and exhibitions.
For many of these students, these experiences come at a formative moment. As teens begin earning and managing money earlier, they are also shaping how they think about work, independence, and opportunity. Supporting environments where they can learn by doing, creatively and professionally, is a key part of expanding access.
Through our collaboration, Block is supporting the museum’s work to connect young people with those opportunities and experiences. The approach reflects a broader belief that access to tools, education, and creative outlets can help open doors and build long-term confidence.
The partnership also connects to Block’s broader ecosystem. The Bronx Museum operates as a Square seller across its retail and event operations, and the community it serves reflects a generation that is increasingly engaging with financial tools like Cash App as part of their daily lives.
Block’s work with the Bronx Museum is part of a broader effort to invest in organizations that support students and young people in key communities across the U.S., with a focus on programs that provide real-world experience and expand access to opportunity.Click here more information on The Bronx Museum’s teen community programs.
