Today we’re announcing the creation of a Cash App Teen Advisory Council (TAC) — a diverse group of 15-20 teens from across the country who will provide direct feedback, ideas, and insights to help shape the future of Cash App’s products and experiences.
In today’s fast-moving digital world, teen culture and preferences evolve at lightning speed. From new social platforms to shifts in spending habits, teens are often early adopters and cultural influencers, shaping not only the purchasing decisions of their peers, but also their family. The TAC will influence how Cash App serves this next generation of customers, ensuring we continue to build products that are relevant, trusted, and impactful.
“For today’s teens, technology isn’t just a tool — it’s seamlessly woven into their daily lives, and they’re using it to reshape the future of money,” said Owen Jennings, Block’s Business Lead. “By bringing their voices directly into our product development process, we’re creating a real-time feedback loop that helps us innovate and support teens’ needs faster.”
TAC members will provide input on everything from new product concepts and app experiences to digital behaviors. They’ll also participate in diary studies, polls, and feedback sessions that directly inform Cash App’s decisions around design, usability, safety, and product strategy.
For teens, TAC offers an opportunity to develop leadership and collaboration skills, gain exposure to technology and product development, and contribute to shaping tools that millions use every day. Participants will also receive professional development support, networking opportunities, and compensation for their contributions.
The initiative reflects the company’s belief that meaningful innovation happens when the voices of those who use products are part of the conversation.
