Customer bitcoin is held 1-for-1. For every bitcoin in a customer's Cash App balance, Block holds an equal amount of bitcoin in custody. Corporate bitcoin is a separate investment held by Block, Inc. on its balance sheet — it is not used to back, supplement, or guarantee customer balances.
We include it here because we believe in being transparent about all of our bitcoin holdings. This dashboard reflects a point-in-time snapshot, not an audit or guarantee of solvency. Balances may change between verification dates.
